The hosts of ABC’s The View took aim at the indefinite suspension of Jimmy Kimmel Live! during Monday's episode, and the White House was quick to retaliate. White House Communications Director Steven Cheung slammed both shows in a statement to Entertainment Weekly, just as ABC announced that Jimmy Kimmel's show would be returning to the air. The controversy surrounding Kimmel began last Wednesday, September 17, following the September 10 assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Nicole Kidman and Elle Fanning are partnering up for Discretion, an upcoming legal thriller series from A24. This marks a fourth collaboration for the two actresses, who previously worked together on the films The Beguiled and How to Talk to Girls at Parties, and have an upcoming Apple TV+ series, Margo's Got Money Troubles, in the works.

Netflix has unveiled the new trailer for Monster: The Ed Gein Story, giving audiences an eerie look at Charlie Hunnam as the infamous murderer and grave robber. This marks the third installment in the critically acclaimed and Emmy-nominated Monster anthology series, created by Ryan Murphy and Ian Brennan, and will focus on Gein, a man whose disturbing crimes have inspired some of the most iconic horror films of all time, including The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, Psycho, and Silence of the Lambs.
