Ak má dobro zvíťaziť, Alexa musí nájsť spôsob, ako prekonať Opustené more, zachrániť svojho priateľa Yipesa a rozlúštiť záhadu Desiateho mesta.
Skeleton Creek Book Review
age 11+ Book/online-video hybrid is creepy fun. Parents need to know that this book provides links and passwords to Web sites, which provide additional plot. Online, kids will see suspenseful, creepy videos that might be scary to younger or more sensitive readers/viewers, though nothing worse than a skeletal ghost is shown.
Tremor: Pulse, Book 2 Book Review
age 13+ Telekinetic adventure keeps suspense high in game of wits. Parents need to know that Patrick Carman's Tremor is a post-apocalyptic science fiction adventure that picks up where the previous installment, Pulse, left off. It features characters with telekinetic powers who repeatedly attempt to kill each other, usually to no avail.
ATTACK OF THE FORTY-FOOT CHICKEN
A wonderfully weird, madcap tale with just a tiny bit of terror. The town of Nevermind endures another zany episode, this time pitting an 11-year-old’s epic survivalist skills against an extremely large rooster. Chronically overprepared Barker Mifflin has just started his second year of picking strawberries at McFadden Farm, receiving one essentially worthless McToken for each flat delivered.
Review: Dark Eden by Patrick Carman
Review: Dark Eden by Patrick Carman 20th Aug 2011 Jess @ Gone with the Words Book Reviews Although this book is about seven teens confronting their biggest phobias, it is all told from Will’s POV. I liked the creative way we see all of the teen’s stories through Will. Each one gets their own personalized cure. They reminded me of the Saw movies, where the person is alone in a room, except this book is nowhere near as sadistic.
Review: ‘First Date’ at CNY Playhouse
This past weekend on Friday evening I went to the opening night performance of the Central New York Premiere Musical Production of “First Date Broadway’s Musical Comedy” at The Central New York Playhouse. This musical is about a young man and woman meeting on a blind date. The man was inexperienced, while the woman was more knowing on how a first date runs its course. This is a story of what a first date entails and how these two decide to navigate the scenarios of just getting to know each other.
The Dark Hills Divide
An extraordinary debut weaving magic and heroism into a classic tale of good and evil, featuring a heroine you'll never forget. Inquisitive twelve-year-old Alexa Daley is spending another summer in the walled town of Bridewell. This year, she is set on solving the mystery of what lies beyond the walls. Legend says the walls were built to keep out an unnamed evil that lurks in the forests and The Dark Hills. But what exactly is it that the townspeople are so afraid of?
Shadow and Bone (Grisha Trilogy)
Surrounded by enemies, the once-great nation of Ravka has been torn in two by the Shadow Fold, a swath of near impenetrable darkness crawling with monsters who feast on human flesh. Now its fate may rest on the shoulders of one lonely refugee. Alina Starkov has never been good at anything. But when her regiment is attacked on the Fold and her best friend is brutally injured, Alina reveals a dormant power that saves his life — a power that could be the key to setting her war-ravaged country free.

Pulse By Patrick Carman This book isn’t even out yet but all the reviews from people lucky enough to have read reading copies have been very favourable and reviewers are raving about it. It is the first book in a new trilogy. It is the year 2051 and Faith lives in the empty wastelands while others live a better life in the quarantined states. On the outside there are rebels and danger but it is there that Faith learns of her new ability.
