I used to think all fog machine liquid was the same. Never once had I considered that a new fog formula could be far better than what I've been using for decades. PMI's Vanishing Formula Kit has changed my opinion, and today I test it against three of the most popular portable fog systems on the market. Portable fog machines have become one of my favorite tools for photography and filmmaking.

Printing a photo that's nearly 10 feet wide sounds excessive, but I wanted something that would completely transform my space. What started as a simple landscape shoot quickly turned into the largest (and most rewarding) print I've ever created. When I set out to photograph the the Angel Oak in South Carolina, I knew I wanted to do something different. This wasn’t just about capturing another landscape photography; it was about creating something worthy of being printed at an absurd scale.

Welcome to the April Critique the Community!  For this contest/critique, we are doing another abstract theme that should allow more photographers to enter. For this month we want to see your most "dark" or "low key" photographs. If you have images that play off of darker tones or contain mostly black, unlit areas, we would love to see them! Each photographer may submit up to three images. This month's contest features a pretty broad theme, therefore any type of photograph is acceptable.
