图片来源:SounderBruce/Wikimedia(CA BY-SA 4.0)。...

FCC smacks down Marriott on Wi-Fi blocking.
What’s notable about the debate spurred by Marriott’s petition is the near-total lack of debate among groups who usually oppose each other. The unlikely allies who rushed to protect the public’s right to Wi-Fi by filing comments strongly opposing the hotel industry petition included New America , small wireless providers and Internet companies , mobile carrier industry association , the cable industry association , the Consumer Electronics Association , and even Brown University.
The trickiest part of the municipal broadband initiative.
But the small city received a big boost to its national profile last week when President Barack Obama traveled there to unveil a new broadband policy initiative aimed at spurring high-speed infrastructure investment across the United States.
