Sunshine ski area near Banff in Alberta, Canada, is set to reopen for 16 days of summer skiing and riding from this weekend. The decision follows an extraordinary winter in which Sunshine accumulated more than 1,025 centimetres of snowfall with more than 50cm more falling in the month since their 25-26 season ended. That’s over 33 feet of all‑natural snow, enough to bury a three‑storey building and the second most the resort had received in its long history.
