Understanding how patient expectations in cosmetic dermatology can vary across countries, cultures, and ethnicities is an important aspect of providing culturally sensitive and personalized care. Cosmetic dermatological treatments are sought for either aesthetic enhancements or addressing specific skin conditions.

My husband had wanted to build a pizza oven ever since he saw one at River Cottage, so we decided we would build one in as part of the permaculture design for the garden. The garden isn’t very big and the position it is in, is really the only place it could go. We had a plan from the internet but it was pretty useless, so we built it in the room available to us.

When I first started planning the infrastructure here at Quinta do Vale, I was adamant on including a worm composting toilet – I intended to use Joe Jenkins‘ dry ‘humanure’ composting toilet system throughout. It’s simple, easy to construct and maintain, portable even, and doesn’t require separation of urine from faeces. And it’s an efficient thermophilic composting process with a well-balanced output. It’s no wonder Jenkins’ toilets have been dubbed ‘Loveable Loos’. What’s not to like?
