Paul Brogan’s Biography
Born in New Hampshire, I have spent most of my life living in this still bucolic New England State.
I graduated from Bishop Brady High School and attended Plymouth State University in New Hampshire.
During my working career I worked at such traditional organizations such as the State of New Hampshire, Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Concord Group Insurance as well as New Hampshire Legal Assistance. Less traditional positions were found at such diverse places as The Concord Theatre, CBS Television and several organizations committed to helping those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. Raising more than one-million dollars for New Hampshire residents with HIV/AIDS is one of my proudest accomplishments.
While I frequently wrote film critiques and feature stories for film publications, my first book, an autobiography, was published in 2011 and became a number-one best-selling book. I contributed to several other books and became a popular blogger, winning a New Hampshire Press Association Award in 2014.
My second book, "The Concord Theatre and Concord's Love Affair with the Movies" was published in April of 2019.
When not writing, I teach film classes and share the history of my community with various groups and organizations. I also host a television talk show.
