Paul Comfort’s Biography
Paul Comfort is an author, podcast host, former government official and transit industry veteran.
Mr. Comfort spent 16 years on the radio as host of Comfort's Corner on WCTR in Chestertown, MD. As County Administrator for two Maryland counties, he directed the successful implementation of their government PEG Television Channels and was awarded the Cable Telecommunications Association of MD, DE, and DC, Legislative Award in 2007. As CEO of the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) in Baltimore, Mr. Comfort oversaw the development of America's first FM radio station (FM 93.5 WTTZ) operated by a pubic transportation system.
Mr. Comfort is a published author of numerous articles published in magazines such as Governing Magazine, Mass Transit Magazine, METRO Magazine, Intelligent Transport, Business.Com and AXIOS news service. He has appeared on many television and radio news programs and speaks on Leadership and Transit Trends at conferences and agencies/companies around the world.
Mr. Comfort served as County Administrator for two counties in Maryland (Charles and Queen Anne) and was elected as Queen Anne's County Commissioner in 2016. He also has served as President of the Transportation Association of Maryland and the Maryland County Administrators Association.
With his strong background in media and transportation, Mr. Comfort now hosts one of America's most popular transportation podcasts, Transit Unplugged, with interviews of Transit CEOs.
