American Horror Story’s Obvious Fiona Reunion Isn’t Worth What It Just Did to Cordelia
When American Horror Story Season 13 got underway with some of the worst episodes in series history — yes, even worse than American Horror Story Season 12, “Delicate” — it seemed like the series had found its floor. Then, American Horror Story Season 13 Episode 6 happened. The witch-heavy installment found ghosts from American Horror Story Season 5, “Hotel,” showing up at Miss Robichaux’s Academy to terrorize the witches.
The Great British Baking Show: This Year’s Bakers Aren’t as Polished, and That’s a Good Thing
The Great British Baking Show is known for being the most positive food competition around. With cozy bakes, endearing contestants, and hosts who come across as gentle & friendly, The Great British Baking Show is like a blanket on a cold night: comforting. However, as the years passed, viewers have increasingly taken issue with a certain aspect of The Great British Baking Show. The challenges bakers are expected to complete have become increasingly ridiculous.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 3 Review: Never Underestimate Ellen MacKenzie
Critic's Rating: 4 / 5.0 4 When Ellen’s brothers opened up about Castle Leoch being vulnerable to anyone who wanted it while Dougal was away at war, I didn’t expect bad things to happen this soon. Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 3 found Castle Leoch under siege as McKinney waltzed through the doors, killed a guard, and seemingly thought he had an easy path to taking control.
Big Brother Finale Live Update: Who Won Season 28?
It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the end of Big Brother Season 28. It’s definitely been a rollercoaster of a season, with power shifts, twists, and everything in between. But the action has slowed down over the last few weeks. Going into the last episode, I firmly believe that either Drew, Devens, or Taylor could win. All three have had very different journies in the game. Devens has, of course, been given a lot of advantages. For one, he had a Survivor alum in the house with him.
The Walking Dead Needs to Let New Characters Inherit the Franchise
There’s no denying that The Walking Dead is my favorite TV franchise. It may be well past its prime, but I’ll still watch every new episode of any show in that universe. The biggest issue I have with the state of The Walking Dead as a whole right now is that the franchise has been kept alive by spinoffs featuring franchise alums.
American Horror Story Season 13 Is Mistaking Confusion for Mystery
There isn’t a day that goes by where I don’t want more of some of my favorite American Horror Story characters. When American Horror Story Season 8, “Apocalypse” premiered, I felt short-changed because the witches were nowhere to be seen. Then, they popped up a few episodes in and completely took over the story. I didn’t enjoy that season when it aired because it suffered from severe pacing issues, and it just wasn’t fun watching it week-to-week.
Big Brother Spoilers: Final Head of Household Part 1 Winner Revealed
Does anyone else feel like Big Brother gets more difficult to follow as the season progresses? CBS’ desire to keep it running into early fall means there are last-minute schedule switcheroos. For example, the eviction that aired last night was supposed to air this evening on CBS. How are viewers supposed to keep up with all these changes? I sure didn’t and figured Thursday’s episode would be a clip show.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 2 Review: The Calm Before the Storm
Critic's Rating: 5 / 5.0 5 When Outlander went off the air earlier this year, I couldn’t help but wonder whether Outlander: Blood of My Blood could carry the torch that keeps the franchise alive. But Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 2 is proof that even without Claire and Jamie, this franchise still has a lot to offer. Arguably, the latest chapter of the spinoff had everything we’ve come to expect from Outlander: romance, mystery, war, and game-changing twists.
Dark Matter Season 2 Episode 5 Review: Love and Be Loved
We never saw what happened to the Jasons after Jason, Daniela, and Charlie left their world, hoping to find somewhere safe and still. But Dark Matter Season 2 Episode 5 gave us a deeper understanding of how painful those events were for them. Much of the show has focused on our foundational family unit, but the truth is that none of these other Jasons deserved what came their way, either. So far, we’ve only seen flashes of the others.
The Traitors: New Blood Heats Up With a Recruitment, Double Murder, and Banishment
Critic's Rating: 4.25 / 5.0 4.25 There are so many great things to say about The Traitors: New Blood, but the most important praise has to go to the casting team. After The Traitors: New Blood Season 1 Episode 3 and The Traitors: New Blood Season 1 Episode 4, it’s obvious that this cast came to play. They’re not going to beat around the bush.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood Stars on Torn-Apart Lovers, Henry’s Memories, and What Comes Next
Outlander: Blood of My Blood wasted absolutely no time ripping its central couple apart again. After spending much of the first season watching Ellen and Brian fight for the opportunity to be together, Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 1 forces them to make an impossible decision almost immediately.
Big Brother Spoilers: Final Veto Winner Revealed, and One Houseguest Is Doomed
By this point in a season of Big Brother, the game is generally pretty predictable. The action and intrigue slow down because the same people keep winning competitions, and the endgame drags. But things shifted on Monday when the feeds went down, and a surprise eviction played out. When they returned, Melody was evicted, with the houseguests reacting to her finishing in fifth place.
Lioness Season 3 Finale Review: The Past Comes Back to Haunt Joe and Cruz!
Critic's Rating: 4 / 5.0 4 For an episode clocking in at 70 minutes, Lioness Season 3 Episode 8 sure made the most of every minute, leaving us with a tantalizing tease for a potential fourth season. And the actual hell? Aaliyah is back, and she’s out for blood. Aaliyah was a massive part of Lioness Season 1, and after Cruz and the team completely and utterly destroyed her life, it was inevitable she would resurface. Honestly, I’m surprised it took this long.
DWTS First Eliminations Have Shaken Up the Leaderboard and Proven That Scores Don’t Tell the Full Story
It’s time to swing those hips, kick those legs, and glide across the dance floor. That’s right, a record-breaking Dancing with the Stars Season 35 has begun. This has been one of the best casts in recent years, since I recognized more than half of the stars, and many of them attempted entertaining first routines. During Dancing with the Stars Season 35, the judges seem to be judging lower than usual and holding back higher scores until later in the season.
Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 1 Review: Love, Loss, and the Fight to Reunite
Critic's Rating: 4 / 5.0 4 The Outlander franchise has become known for its push and pull when it comes to its central romances, and that’s on full display during Outlander: Blood of My Blood Season 2 Episode 1. Instead of any time passing, we’re right back in at the deep end, and honestly, it’s good to be back in the Outlander universe. Since Henry and Julia were plunged hundreds of years into the past, they’ve endured horrors trying to reunite.
Big Brother Live Update: Which Two Houseguests Got Evicted?
Staying in the Big Brother house during a regular week is tough, but staying during double eviction week is not for the faint of heart. The hit series features a Big Brother Blockbuster, an eviction, a Head of Household competition, and nominations, a Veto competition, a Veto meeting, and another eviction all over the course of two hours. It’s a fast-paced event that changes the game’s trajectory, and after such a slow week in the Big Brother house, it’s needed.
Lauren Cohan on Maggie’s Dead City Season 3 Transformation: “She Wants to Live Now”
The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 has been a turning point for Maggie Rhee. After years of being consumed by grief, rage, and her complicated relationship with Negan, Maggie finally seems ready to look toward the future. That doesn’t mean she’s forgotten Glenn or forgiven Negan for killing him. Instead, she’s finally reached a place where she can acknowledge that Negan has become one of the closest things she has to family.
The Ark’s Christie Burke Felt Season 3’s Loss On and Off Screen
The Ark Season 3’s premiere delivered a devastating blow with the death of James Brice. Fortunately, we now know that he was miraculously saved due to a creature within the caves on Ross-128, but it took a few episodes to learn all this, and now there’s a much bigger mystery going on. For Christie Burke, who plays Captain Sharon Garnet on The Ark, the loss was harder. Sharon didn’t just lose her No. 2 on Ark One, but Burke lost her No. 2 on the set.
Dead City Season 3 Episode 8 Review: Maggie and Negan Finally Find Their New Normal
Critic's Rating: 4.5 / 5.0 4.5 For a show that I was struggling to watch a season ago, The Walking Dead: Dead City has really upped its game. After watching The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 Episode 8, I feel confident saying the season stuck the landing and has me cautiously optimistic about a potential fourth season. Who would have thought that Maggie and Negan would be able to remain on the same side for more than a handful of episodes?
Lioness Season 3 Episode 7 Review: Nothing Goes Quite as Expected
Critic's Rating: 4.25 / 5.0 4.25 One thing I could never take away from Lioness is its unpredictability. It’s one of those shows where you buckle up and prepare for a thrill ride for an hour each week, with no idea where things are truly headed. Lioness Season 3 Episode 7 was a nail-biting conclusion to Joe’s captivity, and I was honestly surprised at how it was all resolved within the first half of the episode.
Big Brother Spoilers: Week 10 Veto Winner Live Update
The Big Brother house is in a strange state. Yash is the Week 10 Head of Household and nominated Barrett, Drew, and Melody for eviction. Now, you are probably surprised that Dee and Devens have not made their way to the block, but there’s a good reason for that. Dee’s bribe to Yash is in full effect, so he cannot nominate the Survivor alums for one round as Head of Household.
Big Brother Spoilers: Week 10 Head of Household Revealed
Angela’s eviction has given Big Brother a jolt of life. The hit series had been in a rut, with veteran players from across CBS controlling the game for too long. Of course, that all changed when their ally, Barrett, won the Week 9 Head of Household and put Angela, Dee, and Devens on the block. Barrett wanted to make a move and believed that Dee or Devens going would be big enough to make him remembered as the person who broke that alliance up.
Big Brother Week 9 Live Update: Which Icon Got Evicted?
What a week it’s been in the Big Brother house, and the drama is only just beginning. Barrett has been in control of the game during Week 9, with his big move putting Angela, Dee, and Devens on the block. Now, he just needs the house to vote his way and send Dee or Devens to the jury house. Barrett doesn’t believe Angela being evicted on his Head of Household would matter if he makes it to the finale.
Big Brother Spoilers: Angela’s Game Is in Serious Trouble
Would it really be a week of Big Brother without a tremendous back-and-forth about who goes home? Week 9 Head of Household Barrett got his wish, with Angela, Dee, and Devens on the block, and they stayed on the block. For the first time this season, it feels like the power is truly going to shift, but will Barrett get his wish about which Icon goes home?
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 4 Teaser Teases a Chilling Final Ride, But Why the Long Wait?
Saying goodbye to Daryl and Carol will be a bittersweet affair, but we’ve been down this road before. As anchors of the latter seasons of The Walking Dead, they were the main attractions for so long. And now, it’s time to say goodbye all over again. AMC went public with the first teaser for The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon Season 4 today, and it sets the tone for the horror to come.
Big Brother Spoilers: Veto Meeting Results Set Up a Fascinating Week 9 Eviction
Considering all of the drama on Friday when Barrett nominated the Icons for eviction, the last few days in the Big Brother house have been relatively subdued. Angela, Dee, and Devens know that one of them will be walking out the door, and it’s now all about securing the votes. The newbies waged war on the Icons over the weekend, and a brand-new alliance threatens to be endgame.
Big Brother Spoilers: Veto Winner Revealed, and It’s Bad News for the Icons
There’s been a lot of back-and-forth over the last few weeks of Big Brother, but I think it’s safe to say that the game is moving faster than ever. Barrett threw a big old wrench in the Icons’ game on Friday when he nominated all three of them. That’s right, Angela, Dee, and Devens are on the block, and the once-solid trio is spiraling. The drama on the feeds was insane in the wake of the nominations as the Icons tried to throw Yash under the bus.
Dead City Season 3 Episode 7 Review: Maggie Takes a Stand for Negan!
Critic's Rating: 4.5 / 5.0 4.5 No matter what situation they find themselves in, Maggie and Negan somehow prevail. The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 Episode 7 was no different, serving up a fascinating hour that delved deeper into their complicated dynamic. There’s always been this ambiguity about how they would react when they left the past behind and focused on the present.
Lioness Season 3 Episode 6 Review: It’s Not Looking Good for Joe
Critic's Rating: 4 / 5.0 4 You guys, I’m getting more worried about Joe with each episode, and I don’t envision her predicament ending the way she deserves. Lioness Season 3 Episode 6 confirmed that she was in Texas and cast a pall of uncertainty over her fate when her team got this close to finding her. It’s hard to shake the feeling that there won’t be a happy resolution no matter how this goes.
Dead City Season 3 Episode 7 Exclusive Clip Forces Maggie to Choose Between Negan and Renata
Well, it was obvious it was coming, but it doesn’t make it any less painful. TV Fanatic has scored an exclusive first look at The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 Episode 7, and it promises to be an emotionally charged hour for everyone involved. As you’ll recall, The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 Episode 6 wrapped up with Hershel telling Maggie that Negan killed Fabian and wounded Dillard.
Big Brother Spoilers: Week 9 Head of Household Revealed and the Targets Are Already Set
They say to expect the unexpected, but Big Brother Season 28 is shaping up to be the most predictable season yet. Did anyone else seriously think Devens wouldn’t win the Big Brother Blockbuster? Producers are working overtime to keep the icons intact, and it’s making for one of the worst seasons to date. After Devens won the competition on Thursday, the eviction vote was between Taylor and LaTrice.
Big Brother Week 8 Live Updates: Who Won Blockbuster and Who Got Evicted?
We’re in the home stretch of Big Brother Season 28, so we thought we’d revamp our coverage of the eviction episodes. Truthfully, they’re difficult to cover live with the opinions we love to bring our readers, but we’re also aware that people can’t watch the episodes live and just want the answers to the most important questions: Who won the Big Brother Blockbuster, and who got evicted?
Big Brother Spoilers: Dee Drops a Bombshell Plan to Flip on Devens
I hate to admit it, but Big Brother is getting too chaotic to keep up with, and it’s all thanks to Dee. She’s playing this like a season of Survivor, and the whiplash is real. Whenever she has a plan in her head, she second-guesses it in the hours after she locks it in. It’s like she over-analyzes every little thing in the game, and it’s going to come back to bite her. This week, Devens was the replacement nominee after Yash saved himself with the Power of Veto.
Big Brother Spoilers: Do the Icons Have the Votes to Save One of Their Own?
Angela, Dee, and Devens have had control of the game for so long that Big Brother has been growing stale. They started the season with an advantage, as only they were competing in the first Head of Household competition. That allowed them to form connections and create alliances to keep them safe. When they were already in danger, Devens had a Diamond Power of Veto to save Dee, and then Angela won a Big Brother Blockbuster to save herself.
Big Brother Spoilers: Drew Shocks the House With a Major Veto Meeting Move
It’s been a whirlwind of a few days inside the Big Brother House, but the icons should be very worried. Hayley fell victim to the Medieval twist, and her game came to an abrupt conclusion. Drew followed that up with a Head of Household win that found him putting LaTrice, Taylor, and Yash on the block. When Yash won the Veto on Saturday, it became clear that Drew would have to show his cards by putting up someone close to him. The only other options are Angela, Barrett, Dee, Devens, and Melody.
Dead City Season 3 Episode 6 Review: The Walking Dead Goes Full Hallmark
Critic's Rating: 4 / 5.0 4 What-if episodes of TV shows rarely interest me, but since The Walking Dead has been around for so long and has encompassed a wealth of spinoffs, I was ready for one. The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 Episode 6 dialed up the Hallmark by taking place in an alternate reality where Maggie visits her budding musician sister, Beth, in New York City and spends the day with a very different version of Negan.
Lioness Season 3 Episode 5 Review: Okay, Now the Math Really Isn’t Mathing Original
Critic's Rating: 3.75 / 5.0 3.75 Okay, Lioness isn’t following any playbook for the dual timelines. I’ve come to terms with just buckling up and enjoying the ride, no matter what timeline we’re in, because it’s a lot of fun even when it’s difficult to follow. Lioness Season 3 Episode 5 delved into the inner workings of Operation: Treasure, its legality, and whether the U.S. government gave a damn about the laws they were breaking.
Big Brother Spoilers: Veto Winner Revealed, and the Icons Are in Trouble
It’s hard to believe that the Big Brother Gods rewarded us patient fans with live feeds on Saturday evening, after host Julie Chen told us to go touch some grass and expect them back on Sunday evening. Her statement during Big Brother’s 1000th episode stirred up the fan base like never before because the very fabric of the show has been the unfiltered live feed since its inception.
Manifest Spinoff to Take Flight — But I’m Predicting Turbulence
Do you ever feel like a beloved show goes off the air and the creatives hold on to the idea of revisiting the franchise, only for any future series to never get the green light? That’s sort of where Manifest was when it wrapped up after four seasons back in 2023. The series had been canceled by NBC a few years earlier, but the fan base streamed the hell out of it on Netflix, prompting the streamer to swoop in and order a 20-episode fourth and final season.
Big Brother: Barrett Plots a Blindside Against Dee and Drew
Is it really Big Brother without a pre-eviction Waffle Wednesday? And this week, the live feeds were filled with back-and-forth as the truth about Dee targeting Mallory came to light. The big surprise? Barrett grew a backbone and actually decided to go to a side of the house that didn’t involve the icons. It all went downhill when Barrett and Drew got wind of Dee’s plan to evict Mallory from the house if she was on the block at the eviction.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 5 Trailer Revisits Taylor Frankie Paul’s Scandal, but Should These Episodes Have Aired?
Is anyone else surprised that the trailer for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Season 5 is the most dramatic yet for the series? We already know that the brakes were put on the Hulu reality series earlier this year after just five episodes were filmed. The headlines were, quite frankly, absurd. It was like a never-ending news cycle with Taylor Frankie Paul at the helm, thanks in large part to her season of The Bachelorette getting canceled days before it was supposed to air.
Big Brother Spoilers: Could the Latest Twist Derail Dee’s Eviction Plan?
With Thursday’s eviction on the horizon, the Big Brother house is getting prepared for several different scenarios. Dee has made her point by nominating Mallory after LaTrice came off the block, and she just has to stay true to her decision. Mallory has understandably been frustrated with Dee’s choice and has even opened up to her closest allies that she made a big mistake by throwing the Head of Household competition.
Screw Clickbait Casting: Big Brother Needs an All-Newbie Summer and an All-Star Winter
It’s hard to believe that Big Brother is about to hit its 1,000th episode. Few shows reach that metric, and it’s fitting that a series many thought would be canceled after a few weeks is still here 26 years later. In recent seasons, producers have opted for what I’d call clickbait casting, with controversial former cast members and reality TV stars getting a chance to win the $750,000 grand prize.
Big Brother Spoilers: Tense Veto Meeting May Have Destroyed Dee’s Game
One thing that’s becoming apparent about Survivor alums is that they’re among the messiest players in the Big Brother house. This season alone, Dee Valladares and Rick Devens have made powerful moves that have earned them the ire of their fellow houseguests. As a superfan, I don’t like how much power they’ve had, but I like that they’re willing to switch things up. They don’t play scared, which is refreshing in this era of CBS reality TV series.
Dead City Season 3 Episode 5 Review: A Dangerous Turning Point Original
Critic's Rating: 4.75 / 5.0 4.75 Oh, Negan, what have you done?! The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3 Episode 5 was a pulse-pounding hour that ended with everything upended. Negan has made selfish decisions in the past, but he wasn’t thinking about himself when he killed Fabian. Throughout The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3, Fabian has been critical of Maggie’s every move.
Lioness Season 3 Episode 4 Review: Joe’s Chances of Making It Home Are Fading
Critic's Rating: 5 / 5.0 5 This is getting very concerning for Joe. I’ve come to terms with the fact that Lioness Season 3 may be Zoe Saldaña’s last, but it’s been harrowing to watch every aspect of Joe’s ordeal. Lioness Season 3 Episode 4 was brimming with fascinating moments, revelations, and everything in between. The strength of the hour was the even split between the two timelines. I hope that’s the format for the rest of the season because it worked incredibly well here.
Big Brother Spoilers: Dee Plots Another Target Within Her Alliance
Is anyone else getting whiplash with Dee as Head of Household on Big Brother? Seriously, she’s got to be the most fickle player in the history of the game. This week could have been mess-free if she had stuck to her guns and nominated Yash alongside LaTrice and Taylor. But Dee is going to Dee and change things up. After deciding that Yash was better as a short-term ally with her Big Brother bribe, she seemed set on going after Drew.
Big Brother Spoilers: Veto Winner Revealed as Dee Regrets Her Risky Move
With Dee in power as the Head of Household for this week of Big Brother, we can probably expect a lot of waffling. I’m still trying to make sense of her nominating Drew, Taylor, and LaTrice for eviction, and her bribe with Yash to keep each other off the block. A lot of the time, while watching the feeds, it’s obvious that she wants to deliver a good TV show because she understands how passionate the fanbase is.
Big Brother Spoilers: Week 7 Head of Household Revealed as the House Becomes More Fractured Than Ever
Where does Big Brother Season 28 go from here? Angela won the Big Brother Blockbuster. Kamu was evicted by a vote of 8-1. And now? The house is more fractured than ever. All week long, Kamu, Taylor, and Yash had been working on Mallory and Melory to secure their votes to keep Kamu safe. Then, during Thursday’s eviction episode, it became clear that Kamu absolutely HAD to win the competition and remove himself from the block.
Big Brother Spoilers: Is a Last-Minute Flip About to Save Kamu?
It wouldn’t be Big Brother without a pre-eviction Waffle Wednesday, and it was a lot of back-and-forth. Seriously, if you’d told me that Mallory would be open to flipping her vote to save Kamu a few days ago, I’d have laughed in your face. But Kamu, Taylor, and Yash have gone above and beyond to try to get Barrett, Drew, Mallory, and Melody on their side to launch an offensive against Angela, Dee, and Rick. The issue with someone like Kamu is that he’s very convincing.
