The rapidly advancing field of electrocatalysis is increasingly shaped by the ability to design, isolate, and control active sites at the atomic scale. From single‑atom catalysts to precisely engineered coordination environments, atomic‑level structural control has opened new directions for enhancing catalytic activity, selectivity, and durability across energy‑relevant reactions.

JACS Au aspires to be a premier gold open access journal covering the full breadth of chemistry and allied fields. To this end, we seek advice and counsel from researchers and educators from all over the world, and at all career stages. Since 2021, JACS Au has appointed an Early Career Advisory Board (ECAB) which has served as a key source of advice, counsel, and perspective from early career researchers covering the full breadth of chemistry and allied disciplines.

Biofabrication has historically found major applications in healthcare-focused areas such as tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. While the field continues to impact and advance these areas, biofabrication research has also rapidly expanded into a much broader range of living systems, finding applications in areas such as non-mammalian cells, bacteria, microalgae, food systems, and engineered living materials.
