Air Transat has canceled its seasonal service from Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) for summer 2027, ending a transatlantic route launched just two years earlier. Lufthansa Group and the Portuguese government have officially signed an agreement for the German aviation giant to acquire a 44.9% stake in TAP Air Portugal for €1.025 billion (approximately $1.2 billion). The signing took place in Lisbon earlier today, nearly three weeks after Portugal selected Lufthansa ahead of rival Air France-KLM. The transaction remains subject to regulatory approval.

Delta Air Lines is preparing to expand its Airbus A350-900 network with four new route deployments between December 2026 and May 2027. The additions include new nonstop services to Manila and Riyadh, alongside the resumption of flights to Tel Aviv and an aircraft upgrade on its Athens route. The changes underline the growing importance of the A350 to Delta's international strategy.
