Paul Heney’s Biography

Paul J. Heney has a B.S. in Engineering Science & Mechanics from Georgia Tech and has covered the engineering and manufacturing worlds for more than 25 years. He's covered fluid power and motion control components, robotics, aerospace, research and development, leadership and management topics, and more.

Paul has a proven track record of creating and running a variety of awards programs, from corporate awards to national and international journalism awards to research and engineering awards. He, is a lifelong writer and avid world traveler. He’s also served as Editorial Director for several hospitality magazines in the past, including Luxury Hotelier, Hotel Design, and Hotel & Motel Management.

He has won multiple Azbee awards for writing from the American Society of Business Publication Editors and served as National President of the association from 1999-2003. He is currently President of Trade, Association and Business Publications International (TABPI), which produces the Tabbie Awards, the only worldwide trade publication editorial and design awards program.
