What was your first job as a journalist?
Though unpaid freelance gigs preceded it, my first paying gig was as an editor for "The New Review Of Records."
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes, in junior high. Or maybe grade school. I can't remember.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Via email please.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Word, my iMac, my iPad, whatever game system I need for my review, and my stereo.
Who do you wish followed you?
More people.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I did not, but stories writing in journalism class were submitted to the paper, and many of mine were published.
When's the best time to pitch you?
I prefer email pitches and they can be sent at any time (well, within reason; don't send anything on Christmas, that's just weird).
What's your favorite drink?
Iced coffee.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
On my couch.
