Who is the Angel of the LORD?
Paul D. Wegner is Senior Distinguished Professor of Old Testament Studies at Gateway Seminary. I remember clearly back in Bible School when one of my teachers explained to me that the Angel of the LORD was a Christophany. Initially, I needed to look it up to see what the word Christophany meant, but once understood, I wondered how a Christophany was possible.
Characterization and FEA Simulation for a HIFU Phantom Material | Environmental XPRT
Abstract Results are presented for a new formulation of HIFU phantom material made with polyacrylamide gel and Bovine Serum Albumin. This formulation closely matches the acoustic attenuation as well as the velocity and impedance of tissue, while providing a uniform and optically transparent medium. The phantom material turns permanently opaque whenever the material achieves a temperature greater than 70°C.
Characterization and FEA Simulation for a HIFU Phantom Material | Environmental XPRT
Abstract The membrane style hydrophone commonly used to calibrate lithotripters is found to have a fast rise time, mediocre sensitivity but a very short life span. We propose a new style of hydrophone here that overcomes the longevity problem by employing a spot poled ceramic active element backed by a matched acoustic impedauce. This robust hydrophone is shown to have a fast rise time (e 50 ns) together with a high sensitivity.
