'Hidden tribunals:' Immigration court due process in tumult with new locations
Immigrants are being told last minute about new in-person hearings at previously undisclosed courtroom locations. That's according to five immigration attorneys who reviewed notices or observed the hearings and spoke to NPR about them. The last-minute notifications appear to be another tactic in a broader strategy from the Trump administration to short-circuit immigrants' already limited due process options to speed up arrests and deportations.

Beach parking is free in San Diego. Should it stay that way?
If you're heading to the beach in San Diego, you can count on a few things: beautiful views, lots of sun and free parking. And it doesn’t take long to find folks who feel it should stay that way. “Come on, dude, you shouldn’t pay to park down here,” said Pyper Vargas, who was hanging out in Pacific Beach on Wednesday. “This is why we pay the big bucks down here.” Kevin Reeves, another PB beachgoer, was even more specific. “I believe that parking should be free at the beach,” Reeves said.

Search teams first heard voices from inside the tunnel in the morning, allowing them to locate the two men, Nepalese lawmaker Shri Ram Neupane said.
With jury deadlocked, Judge declares a mistrial in Lindsay Clancy's murder case

This came after the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court denied the request of Clancy's defense attorney for an emergency appeal Friday. After deliberating for six days, the jury told the judge they could not reach a verdict because one juror did not agree with the 11 others.
