What was your first job as a journalist?
My first job was at a website I created writing about cars. Fast forward 10 years and I still write about cars and absolutely love it!
How is social media changing news?
It's bringing immediacy to news, but it's also adding a real element. Reporting from members of the public is more important now than ever.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
I use an endless supply of tools. Sometimes I shoot my own video, edit my own photos...so it's everything from Microsoft Word to Photoshop.
What's your favorite social network?
Tough question — I love interacting with followers on Facebook, but love the diversity, colour and images on Instagram.
Who do you wish followed you?
Seth MacFarlane. Every second comment on my YouTube videos is that I look like him. I'd love for him to follow me...and perhaps even meet me.
Why did you become a journalist?
I did it because of my love for cars. Equally, if I wasn't writing about cars, I'd be writing, photographing and videoing something...
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I exposed a national car theft ring that led to the arrest of three criminals. It was a mix of investigative journalism and storytelling.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Any time! I live online, so I'm always accessing social media and staying immersed in the latest automotive news.
What's your favorite drink?
Coffee. A good coffee from my hometown Melbourne, Australia. Some of the best coffee in the world!
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
In a car. I LOVE driving and love being immersed in new automotive technology.
