1 Introduction Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) is one of the most aggressive cancers and currently the third leading cause of cancer-related death in the United States [1]. Despite improvements in surgical techniques and systemic and targeted therapies, pancreatic cancer is only modestly affected by most existing treatments, including immunotherapy [2-4], with a 5-year overall survival rate of < 13% and average survival duration from diagnosis of < 6 months [5].
