Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes, my grandfather's. I admire the early days of journalism, just your mind, the phone (if lucky), paper and ink.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Know the area. I love having stories dropped in my lap, but I work for a hyper-localized paper and my readers care about their backyard.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Twitter, Facebook, the phonebook, Google, computer, Adobe products, iMovie, Audacity.
Why did you become a journalist?
I have an insatiable curiosity. And I love looking at every piece through the eyes of the reader who really cares about this issue/subject
