Michael Rucker has had a crazy couple of years. In the fall of 2024, he had Tommy John surgery and became a father within the span of a month. He then missed the entirety of the 2025 season rehabbing his arm and spent time training at Driveline Baseball in Kent. Then, the Auburn Riverside High School graduate signed a minor league contract with the Mariners this January.
