1. Introduction Recently, the development of wall-climbing robots that can replace humans on vertical structures for technical applications, inspections, maintenance and construction tasks has gained huge attention. The earliest wall-climbing robot was built in 1986 and used crawlers as the walking mechanism [1]. Since then, after more than 60 years of development, various wall-climbing robots with different technologies have been developed for specific purposes [2].
