Manchester City can move to within three points of Arsenal if they beat mid-table Fulham at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday evening. The Blues came from a goal down on Sunday to beat Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield, a result that will have surprised the most ardent of followers. Bernardo Silva levelled and Erling Haaland kept his cool to score from the spot to give the Blues only their third win at Anfield since the early 80s to keep the pressure on the Gunners.

Manchester City will look to build on their impressive result on Sunday when they take on Fulham at the Etihad Stadium. The Blues are six points behind Arsenal in the race for the title, with the Gunners still to visit Manchester, and victory for City will keep the pressure on, given that Arsenal don’t play until Thursday.

The Manchester City faithful were left on the edge of their seats on Wednesday night as the first Champions League stage came to a dramatic close. The Blues went into the match against Galatasaray outside the top eight teams that would automatically qualify for the last 16, and needed a win, and result elsewhere to go their way in order to avoid a two-legged play-off for the second year running.
