The Yankees have issues. Even though they're one of six teams to reach the 60-win threshold by this point, this is by no means a perfect team. We can all agree on that, but where I diverge from the majority is where the issues actually lie. There's a near-cultish energy around the shortstop position; the loudest voices in the room want Anthony Volpe banished to a different dimension, yearning for literally anyone else to take over. Volpe has played 51 games and posted a 1.2 fWAR.

I’m always searching for updates, but at some point, how many do we really need on the same handful of players? Nobody predicted Connelly Early would get traded for Curtis Mead; few even predicted either of them would get moved at all, let alone for each other.
