INTRODUCTION The majority of European forests are subject to a range of silvicultural practices that can significantly influence natural forest dynamics. Forest management can alter habitat structures, environmental conditions, microclimate, and resource availability (Bengtsson et al., 2000; Paillet et al., 2010; Schall et al., 2018). In the last two decades, there has been a growing interest throughout Europe in replacing traditional even-aged rotation forestry with new approaches.

The United Nations recently, under the title Why improving food safety is important, wrote about the celebration of World Food Day on June 7, 2022: “World Food Safety Day on 7 June aims to draw attention and inspire action to help prevent … food-borne risks …. This international day is an opportunity to strengthen efforts to ensure that the food we eat is safe, … and reduce the burden of food-borne diseases globally”.
