Pamplin Media Group - GLAZER ROCKS!
For a teenage Peter Glazer, it was a perfect musical storm. The coming of Glazer's adolescence coincided with the arrival of The Beatles, the British Invasion and eventually the psychedelic music explosion that provided a soundtrack for the cultural revolution of the mid- and late 1960s. With his ears constantly tuned to local Portland radio, Glazer seized upon a song from an upstart band from Los Angeles whose haunting sound soon would take over the airwaves.

Local couple helps bring top talent to Lake Oswego for Music Mondays
Making one?s way into a new community sometimes takes a leap of faith. Musician Dean Mueller and singer Julie Yanko learned this even before they moved from the Oregon Coast to Lake Oswego in 2013. Mueller quit his job as a software engineer to pursue music full time, buoyed by his acceptance into the local blues community. Yanko left her safe space as a jazz singer to explore other genres, creating fresh opportunities and new avenues for her talent.

West Linn Community Chorus relies on humor, talent
If you?re a member of the West Linn Community Chorus, you?re familiar with the refrain, ?Keep your eyes on me.? It?s a constant reminder from chorus director Tina Paradiso, who has the task of keeping the 80-plus-member group on the same page. But one member of the community chorus has her own method of following along. Second alto Jane McIver is blind and therefore has to take her cues another way.

Patient Day puts a face on the life-saving work of Biotronik
It?s Patient Day at Biotronik, and the halls around the main offices of one of Lake Oswego?s largest employers are buzzing. Roseanne Wolf, 32, flew in from Dubuque, Iowa, to share the story of how the pacemaker designed and built at Biotronik helps her avoid the life-threatening fainting spells that turned her life upside down three years ago.

Brothers from Oregon Episcopal School build tiny house to fight homelessness
Henry Morissette hardly could believe his eyes. Just days before, he, his younger brother Jack and other high school students from Oregon Episcopal School had begun building a tiny house to help fight homelessness. Now, as the completed structure was being delivered to Dignity Village in Portland, the 17-year-old beamed with pride. It just feels so strange that a week ago, it wasnt even there. Now its here, its finished and someones going to be able to move into it, he said.

Together 'Again'
They may have been born half a world apart, but when Jamie Stillway and Ben Bonham play guitar together, its clear their paths were meant to cross. That happened soon after Stillway, a West Coast native, and Bonham, a British ex-pat, moved to Portland in 2002. The two met at Artichoke Music on Southeast Hawthorne Boulevard and quickly formed a musical partnership thats still going strong.

Like-minded moms look to build a community around allergy-free play
It wasnt long after she became a new mother that Jenny Gullen discovered her son Calvin had a problem. Food allergies more specifically, being allergic to dairy products limited what Calvin could eat and drink. And even just being exposed to milk made Calvins skin break out. When Calvin was little, I really had a hard time bringing him places because hes contact reactive, Gullen said.
