How is social media changing news?

News is now global and instant thanks to social media. The world of News as we know it has shrunk whilst allowing authors to reach further.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

I prefer to be pitched on stories via email, asking for a quote or an explanation of a topic.

What's your favorite social network?

I can't choose between Twitter and Facebook, so will say both :)

Why did you become a journalist?

I became a journalist to help spread the word on eco and recycling issues, not necessarily as self promotion but to educate on best practise.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Waste Watch, part of the Keep Britain Tidy Campaign, allowed me to write on their blog explaining electrical waste recycling in the UK.
