His lap, onboard the #24 BMW M Hybrid V8, was almost two and a half tenths faster than Jordan Taylor in the #40 Wayne Taylor Racing Cadillac. Third fastest was Felipe Nasr in the #7 Porsche, 0.431 adrift of D. Vanthoor. Fourth was the pacesetter’s older brother, Laurens Vanthoor, in the #6 Porsche.
