World of Warcraft’s Midnight expansion kicked off off the second part of the Worldsoul Saga as baddie (in every sense of the word) Xal’atath invades Azeroth with an army of void creatures at her beck and call. It’s time to visit a revamped Silvermoon City, help the Haranir deep down below, and venture into not one but three new raids, all in Season 1.

It won’t be long until the Midnight pre-patch is upon us, bringing with it a whole slew of changes to the game — the overhaul to transmog, Void Elf Demon Hunters, and major revamps to every spec except Frost Death Knight (who already got their turn). But one of the most anticipated part of each pre-patch is the pre-patch event, always a limited time affair that leads into the storyline of the expansion proper and usually yields some cool rewards that are rarely, if ever, made available elsewhere.
