Philip Oddi’s Biography

Philip Oddi is dedicated to delivering high-quality reporting on community events, news, and stories. After years as an educator and graduate student, he made the pivotal decision to transition into journalism. In addition to his reporting work, Philip is a self-published author.

Philip completed his MA in Religion, Culture and Global Justice at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2019 and received his BA with honours in English and Religion & Culture from the same university in 2018. Philip was previously working on research as a Graduate Student at York University in Humanities and the Graduate Diploma of International & Security Studies program.

Philip is currently under a Local Journalism Initiative contract with The Review in Vankleek Hill, Ontario, covering Eastern Ontario and Western Québec. The LJI is part of The Canadian Press and funded by News Media Canada.
