Gems abound at this year’s French Film Festival

Several titles screening at this year’s Alliance Française French Film Festival readily attract attention. There’s Isabelle Huppert in the title role in The Richest Woman in the World, based on a true story, and François Ozon’s new vision of Albert Camus’ The Stranger. Angelina Jolie stars in Couture, Alice Winocour’s drama set in Paris during Fashion Week, and Pascal Bonitzer’s Maigret and the Dead Lover revisits the legendary police officer. These films headline a festival rich in choice.
