What was your first job as a journalist?

I ran three e-business start-ups in Japan and Switzerland in the early years of the Internet. Les Echos, a leading French business newspaper, contacted me and suggested that I write factual articles about e-business.

What's your favorite social network?

LinkedIn because of its business focus.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

For business journalism, I think the most important thing is to understand business and have some solid business experience.

When's the best time to pitch you?

Anytime

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

I believe in face-to-face interviews (not by e-mail, not by phone and not by video)
