Danya Henninger is a Philadelphia-based journalist who believes local news is key to a thriving community, and that its format will continue to evolve. As editorial director at Technical.ly, she oversees a multi-local newsroom covering tech and entrepreneurship in emerging US innovation hubs. She previously ran Billy Penn, a local news startup acquired by Philly public media organization WHYY, and is a former food and beer writer. Prior to journalism, she and her husband founded and ran Imagic Digital, a commercial digital imaging and photo-video firm.
