Access to psychotherapy is particularly difficult for refugees in Germany, due to political, structural and individual factors, including psychotherapists' reservations. Psychotherapists' previous experience with refugees leads to higher compassion satisfaction, lower burnout and greater readiness to work with refugees again. Professional quality of life does not influence the readiness of psychotherapists to treat refugees with PTSD.
