Demonstration of dynamic surface codes - Nature Physics
Abstract A remarkable characteristic of quantum computing is the potential for reliable computation despite faulty qubits. This can be achieved through quantum error correction, which is typically implemented by repeatedly applying static syndrome checks, permitting correction of logical information. Recently, the development of time-dynamic approaches to error correction has enabled different codes and implementations that do not rely on static syndrome measurements.
Provision of gender-affirming care for trans and gender-diverse adults: a systematic review of health and quality of life outcomes, values and preferences, and costs
Keywords Transgender health Gender-affirming care Global health Systematic review Evidence before this study Prior systematic reviews have examined the association between some types of gender-affirming care and select health and well-being outcomes.
Provision of gender-affirming hormones for trans and gender-diverse adults: a systematic review of health and quality of life outcomes, values and preferences, and costs
Keywords Transgender health Global health Gender-affirming hormones Systematic review Evidence before this study Gender-affirming hormones have been provided to transgender (trans) and gender-diverse individuals as evidence-based interventions for several decades.
Overcoming leakage in quantum error correction - Nature Physics
|
Abstract The leakage of quantum information out of the two computational states of a qubit into other energy states represents a major challenge for quantum error correction. During the operation of an error-corrected algorithm, leakage builds over time and spreads through multi-qubit interactions.

Over-the-counter provision of emergency contraceptive pills: a systematic review
Effectiveness review Overall, 19 studies from eight countries (published in 21 articles) met the inclusion criteria for the effectiveness review23–43 (table 1). This included 1 RCT (published in three articles), which was shown to have generally low risk of bias, and 18 observational studies, with risk of bias related to the presence of comparison groups, controls for confounding, and/or pre/post data.
