1 Background Cancer remains a major global health challenge and a leading cause of death worldwide. In 2022, nearly 20 million new cancer cases and approximately 10 million cancer-related deaths were reported [1]. In Taiwan, cancer has been the leading cause of death since 1982, with 53,126 deaths reported in 2023, accounting for 25.8% of all deaths [2].
