I bought this BD and watched it last night. Liked the book (Six Days of the Condor) and the movie. After all the hoopla here lately about "issues" with older movies brought to BD I didn't know what to expect. But after watching the movie for a while I came to the conclusion that the BD is apparently a very good encode of the master from which it was made. Grain was intact, facial closeups had good detail and it didn't look like enhanced/fake detail.

Parents have a Denon UD-M30 mini hifi that still works ok except that its not loading and recognising cds when inserting. I've had a look at the cd player and noticed the when the player tries to read the table of contents on the inserted CD the lens/head does not move up to lock in the disc. However when its at the point of reading the table of contents if you give it a tap on the bottom the head will move up, lock the CD into place and recognise the disc.
