Financial companies put a lot of value on the Loan Prediction System because it helps them decide which applicants are creditworthy.

Following IBM, another tech giant Amazon has decided to stop lending its controversial facial recognition software, Rekognition, to the police. The move comes after Amazon came out in support of the #BlackLivesMatter movement and was called out for its ‘hypocritical’ stand over the issue since the company itself provided law enforcement agencies with face tech software that has been found to be biased against the black community.

More than 300 press freedom violations are reported nationwide by journalists covering demonstrations against the death in Minneapolis police custody of George Floyd since May 26, according to data collected by the U.S. Press Freedom Tracker, a founding partner of the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ). In response to reports of attacks, the CPJ has called on US authorities across the country to stop targeting journalists covering protests and let them do their jobs safely.
