Cross-Linguistic Syntactic Priming in Late Bilinguals of Levantine Arabic (L1) and English (L2)

1. Introduction This study aims to investigate if syntactic representations are shared across late bilinguals’ Arabic (L1) and English (L2) using a cross-linguistic priming task. Syntactic priming, a foundational concept in language production research, refers to the tendency for individuals to reproduce recently encountered sentence structures, often in response to exposure within the same language (Pickering & Ferreira, 2008).
