This is a randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, active-controlled trial to compare the effects of RANKL inhibition with denosumab in treating sarcopenia in osteosarcopenic patients with zoledronic acid as active-control drugs, which are two approved drugs for treating osteoporosis.

Physioxia improves the selectivity of hematopoietic stem cell expansion cultures
In this report, we demonstrate that the selectivity of PVA-based mouse HSC expansion cultures can be improved by optimizing the O2 concentrations. Furthermore, we discovered that HSCs expand at the expense of GVHD-causing T cells under optimized low O2 conditions. In addition, we present proof-of-concept data for the combined use of expanded HSCs and antibody-mediated inhibition of immunologic rejection in allogeneic HSCT.

Abstract Summary The overall incidence of imminent fracture after a prior fragility fracture was 7.58% in the first year and 11.58% in the first 2 years. Approximately half of re-fractures occurred in the first 2 years after a fragility fracture. Older patients that have suffered from a fragility fracture should be treated promptly, with immediate care and a secondary fracture prevention to prevent the high imminent risk of a fracture.
