1 Introduction Although the atmospheric pressure on Mars is less than 1% of that on Earth, the Martian atmosphere exhibits high dynamism. The seasonal growth and shrinkage of the polar ice caps can cause atmospheric pressure changes of up to 20%. In the dynamic exchange of momentum and heat between the Martian atmosphere and its surface, large amounts of dust are entered into the atmosphere through surface wind stress lifting and convective vortex lifting.
