Microscopic signatures of an imaginary charge density wave in a kagome metal
Abstract Loop current order has long been proposed as an unconventional electronic state arising from spontaneous symmetry breaking through the formation of microscopic electric current loops. The microscopic origin of these currents stems from imaginary hopping terms, conceptualized as an imaginary charge density wave. Despite extensive investigations, particularly in the context of the pseudogap state in high-temperature cuprate superconductors, its existence remains highly controversial.

Probing inhomogeneous cuprate superconductivity by terahertz Josephson echo spectroscopy - Nature Physics
Abstract Inhomogeneities crucially influence the properties of quantum materials, yet methods that can measure them remain limited and can access only a fraction of relevant observables. For example, local probes such as scanning tunnelling microscopy have documented that the electronic properties of cuprate superconductors are inhomogeneous over nanometre length scales.
Estimation of load for tunnel lining in elastic soil using physics‐informed neural network
1 INTRODUCTION Tunnels have become a crucial part of the transportation system in recent years. The highest priority in tunnel construction and operation is the assurance of safety Wang, Fang, Du, and Wang (2023). To evaluate tunnel safety, it is essential to consider the internal force of the tunnel lining.

Evidence for an odd-parity nematic phase above the charge-density-wave transition in a kagome metal - Nature Physics
Abstract The search for quantum states arising from the interplay between correlation, frustration and topology is a central topic for condensed-matter physics. Recently discovered non-magnetic kagome metals AV3Sb5 (A = K, Cs or Rb) with charge-density-wave and superconducting instabilities may host such exotic states. Here we report evidence that an odd-parity electronic nematic state emerges at a higher temperature than the charge density wave in CsV3Sb5.
Self-assembling butyric acid prodrug acts as a sensitizer for cancer radiotherapy
Radiotherapy, a high-energy ionizing radiation-based therapy, is effective for the treatment of most human malignancies [1]. However, despite its application to localized targets, the severe adverse effects on non-targeted areas cannot be disregarded [1].

Ultrafast Melting of Superconductivity in an Iron-Based Superconductor
Abstract Intense debate has recently arisen regarding the photoinduced changes to the iron-chalcogenide superconductors, including the enhancement of superconductivity and a metastable state. Here, by employing high-energy resolution, we directly observe the melting of superconductivity on ultrafast timescales. We demonstrate a distinctly nonequilibrium response on short timescales, where the gap fills in prior to the destruction of the superconducting peak, followed by a metastable response.

Creation of skyrmions in van der Waals ferromagnet Fe3GeTe2 on (Co/Pd)n superlattice
Abstract Magnetic skyrmions are topological spin textures, which usually exist in noncentrosymmetric materials where the crystal inversion symmetry breaking generates the so-called Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction. This requirement unfortunately excludes many important magnetic material classes, including the recently found two-dimensional van der Waals (vdW) magnetic materials, which offer unprecedented opportunities for spintronic technology.
