Qatar condemned an Iranian strike on one of its tankers near the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday, threatening to interrupt a steady resumption of energy supplies in the region. Iranian missiles hit two ships in the strait, a U.S. official said late Monday, without offering any identifying information about them. One of the hit ships was a Qatari tanker, the Al Rekayyat, which was in waters off the Omani coast, according to the International Maritime Organization, a United Nations agency.
