Factors Associated with Self-Management Behavior in Patients with Breast Cancer-Related Lymphedema
Introduction Breast cancer (BC) is the most common malignancy and a leading cause of cancer-related death among women worldwide.1 With the widespread adoption of early screening and advances in multidisciplinary treatment, the 5-year survival rate for BC patients has improved markedly.2 However, postoperative complications have become increasingly prominent, among which upper-extremity lymphedema is one of the most common and debilitating.
Point‐Implicit Geometry Learning Enables Resource‐Efficient 4D Intraoperative OCT
1 Introduction Intraoperative optical coherence tomography (iOCT) has transformed OCT from a diagnostic tool into a navigational aid for surgical procedures [1], enabling real-time high-resolution tomographic imaging of surgical sites to improve precision and safety in microsurgeries [2]. However, microscope-integrated iOCT provides only isolated cross-sectional slices (B-scans), demands frequent manual repositioning of the scan plane, and is susceptible to shadowing and mirror artifacts.
Optical active perception with 3D Gaussian splatting enables autonomous instrument insertion in robotic vitreoretinal surgery
We present an optical active perception framework that enables autonomous instrument insertion through a trocar using robot-guided multi-view imaging.
Depth-enabled fiber-bundle endoscopy for in situ intraluminal robotic navigation
Three-dimensional perception is essential for intraluminal robotic navigation, where depth estimation provides geometric feedback for safe advancement. Fiber-bundle endoscopy provides sub-millimeter, flexible imaging for miniature probes but lacks reliable depth recovery due to artifacts and missing ground truth. We present a weakly supervised framework that augments fiber-bundle imaging with depth by combining domain translation, pseudo-depth supervision, and structure-aware constraints.
Salvia miltiorrhiza: insights on the protective effect and mechanism of myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury
Braz. J. Med. Biol. Res.2025;58:e14723. Open Access Peer-Reviewed Reviews DOI: 10.1590/1414-431X2025e14723 Myocardial ischemia-reperfusion injury (MIRI), a common secondary complication of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs), leads to significant psychological and physiological distress in patients. Pathophysiological reactions including inflammatory response, oxidative stress injury, platelet aggregation, vascular endothelial dysfunction, and programmed cell death are involved in the pathogenesis of MIRI.
