Total Saponins from Ginseng Stems and Leaves antagonize acute lead-cadmium co-exposure-induced oxidative liver damage in mice via the Keap1/Nrf2 signaling pathway
Abstract 1. Lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) induce liver damage mainly via oxidative stress. Total saponins from ginseng stems and leaves (TSGSL) possess antioxidant properties, but their protective effect against Pb-Cd co-exposure remains unclear. 2. This study aimed to investigate the hepatoprotective effect and mechanism of TSGSL in acute Pb-Cd co-exposed mice. 3.

A new Desmodesmus sp. from the Tibetan Yamdrok Lake
Determination of amplification culture cycle The TP monitoring data indicates that the best transfer time for Desmodesmus sp. is 15–20 days after amplification. After 20 days, microalgae undergo apoptosis, which leads to increased TP index in the solution. The main reason for the increase in TP is the release of organic matter and metal elements caused by the decomposition of microalgae cells. Therefore, for the duration of 20 days, it is necessary to replant or harvest again (Fig 4A). Fig 4.
