The Federal Supreme Court of the UAE on Tuesday issued its ruling on the appeals of sentences issued to members of the Muslim Brotherhood accused of plotting terrorist acts in the country. The appeals were submitted by the 59 convicted people, including 53 defendants who were leaders and members of the Muslim Brotherhood, as well as six companies. The court had sentenced them to penalties ranging from life imprisonment to a fine of Dh20 million.

There has to be a plan for long-term sustainable peace in the Middle East, not just suspended wars in the region.
