De Staatscommissie Demografische Ontwikkelingen waarschuwt: Nederland vergrijst snel, terwijl het aantal jongeren daalt. Dat betekent niet alleen dat we straks minder mensen hebben die kunnen werken, maar ook dat als we niets doen, er straks geen vakmensen zijn om huizen te bouwen, het stroomnet uit te breiden of ouderen te verzorgen.

Anno 2024, most digital services and platforms are owned by a few Big Tech companies. This centralisation of power is not in line with how the internet was once conceived. It creates society-disrupting problems. From privacy violations and influencing election results to discrimination by biased algorithms, Big Tech’s monopoly affects everyone. How do we – as citizens, organisations and governments – regain control of our data and our digital lives?

Artificial intelligence has advanced rapidly in the last years. If this rise will continue, it could be a matter of time until AI approaches, or surpasses, human capability level at a wide range of tasks. Many AI industry leaders think this may occur in just a few years. What will happen if they are right?
