Caregiver Perspectives on Polypharmacy Management in Children With Medical Complexity
Children with medical complexity (CMC) often receive polypharmacy (≥5 concurrent medications), increasing the risk of medication-related problems. Little is known about how caregivers of CMC manage the responsibility of polypharmacy in outpatient settings. This study aims to use caregivers’ lived experiences to develop a data-informed conceptual model of key factors influencing outpatient polypharmacy management.

New species evolved within a few thousand years of the Chicxulub Impact
Published March 1, 2026 | Version Supplemental material Journal Article Open The immediate aftermath of the Cretaceous/Paleogene (K/Pg) mass extinction (ca. 66 Ma) in the marine realm was characterized by the initial recovery of productivity and the originations of new species. These major events are recorded in sediments a few centimeters above the K/Pg boundary and are typically dated via planktic foraminiferal biostratigraphy.
Comparative Effectiveness of Patient-Driven versus Standardized Diabetes Shared Medical Appointments: A Pragmatic Cluster Randomized Trial - Journal of General Internal Medicine
Abstract Diabetes self-management education and support can be effectively and efficiently delivered in primary care in the form of shared medical appointments (SMAs). Comparative effectiveness of SMA delivery features such as topic choice, multi-disciplinary care teams, and peer mentor involvement is not known. Finding the right mix between domestic and foreign investments for pension funds
International diversification offers significant advantages, yet some sophisticated investors, including pension funds, do not fully exploit these opportunities. In many cases and to the detriment of returns, large fractions of the portfolios are allocated to domestic securities; the so-called “home-bias.” If cross-border diversification is as good as advertised, how can we actively encourage it?
Informal sector pensions: Sensibly investing for a better future
Successful implementation of long-term savings and pension accounts for the informal economy requires careful selection of investment instruments suitable for non-poor informal (NPI) household savings. Clearly, despite what may be spectacular recent investment performance, the current hottest venture capital fund would typically not be appropriate for such accounts, as such investments would be high-risk, volatile and hard to understand.
Large-scale neural recordings with single neuron resolution using Neuropixels probes in human cortex - Nature Neuroscience
Abstract Recent advances in multi-electrode array technology have made it possible to monitor large neuronal ensembles at cellular resolution in animal models. In humans, however, current approaches restrict recordings to a few neurons per penetrating electrode or combine the signals of thousands of neurons in local field potential (LFP) recordings.
The costs and benefits of making pension funds a target for financial repression
Financial repression is not a new topic, but the striking amount of new debt taken on by governments to support their economies in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis has made the issue ever more relevant. Financial repression occurs when governments channel funds to themselves that in a deregulated market environment would go elsewhere. It usually aims to provide cheaper loans to companies and governments, reducing their burden of repayments by lowering returns to savers.
[1809.05849] ALMA reveals the aftermath of a white dwarf--brown dwarf merger in CK Vulpeculae
Abstract: We present Atacama Large Millimeter-Submillimeter Array (ALMA) observations of CK Vulpeculae which is identified with "Nova Vulpeculae 1670". They trace obscuring dust in the inner regions of the associated nebulosity. The dust forms two cocoons, each extending ~5 arcsec north and south of the presumed location of the central star.
Partitioning k-space for cylindrical three-dimensional rapid acquisition with relaxation enhancement imaging in the mouse brain
Three-dimensional rapid acquisition with relaxation enhancement (RARE) scans require the assignment of each phase encode step in two dimensions to an echo in the echo train. Although this assignment is frequently made across the entire Cartesian grid, collection of only the central cylinder of k-space by eliminating the corners in each phase encode dimension reduces the scan time by ~22% with negligible impact on image quality.
Sociality influences thermoregulation and roost switching in a forest bat using ephemeral roosts
In summer, many temperate bat species use daytime torpor, but breeding females do so less to avoid interferences with reproduction. In forest-roosting bats, deep tree cavities buffer roost microclimate from abrupt temperature oscillations and facilitate thermoregulation. Forest bats also switch roosts frequently, so thermally suitable cavities may be limiting.
"Genetic Parameter Estimates for Calving Difficulty and Birth Weight i" by Cashley M. Ahlberg, Larry A. Kuehn et al.
Date of this Version 2015 Citation 2015 Nebraska Beef Cattle Report, University of Nebraska—Lincoln Extension, MP101. Abstract Eighteen breeds were utilized to estimate genetic parameters for birth weight and calving difficulty on first-parity females. Birth weight and calving difficulty were moderately heritable allowing for genetic selection to decrease calving difficulty. Genetic correlation estimates were positive between direct effects for birth weight and calving difficulty.
"Estimation of British- and Continental-Specific Heterosis Effects for" by Lauren N. Schiermiester, R. Mark Thallman et al.
Heterosis, assumed proportional to expected breed heterozygosity, was calculated for 6,834 individuals with birth, weaning, and yearling weight records from Cycle VII of the U.S. Meat Animal Research Center Germplasm Evaluation Program. Heterosis was further estimated by proportions of British x British (BxB), British x Continental (BxC), and Continental x Continental (CxC) crosses. Estimates of BxB, BxC, and CxC heterosis were significant for weaning and yearling weight.
IODP Expedition 320T Bulk Density (GRA)
Gamma ray attenuation (GRA) data were acquired using a Cs-137 collimated source and a sodium iodide (thallium), or NaI(Tl), scintillation detector. The signal was calibrated using water and aluminum standards to provide a proxy for bulk density. This measurement was performed by a sensor mounted on either the Whole-Round Multisensor Logger (WRMSL) or the Special Task Multisensor Logger (STMSL); which track was used for a given data set is indicated in the data.
IODP Expedition 320T Vane shear strength (AVS)
Shear strength was measured on section halves using a GEISA automated vane shear (AVS) frame and device controller. The device is suitable for sediment not affected by cementation (i.e., saturated, clay-rich, soft sediment). Shear strength measurements should be considered only approximate, particularly because the influence of pore pressure changes during the undrained experiment cannot be estimated.
IODP Expedition 320T Inorganic carbon (coulometer)
Inorganic carbon (carbonate) is determined by coulometry, which uses a photodetection cell to measure carbon dioxide evolved during sample acidification. Report includes percent inorganic carbon and calcium carbonate.
IODP Expedition 320T Gas safety report
This composite report returns data from two different gas chromatograph configurations (GC3 and NGA). Each row combines data from several measurements made on the same sample at the same time for a particular headspace or vacutainer sample. If data do not exist for a particular expedition, the column does not appear. Gas samples were measured by gas chromatography and either flame ionization detection (GC-FID) or thermal conductivity detection (GC-TCD).
IODP Expedition 320T Formation temperature
Description Formation temperature was measured by the advanced piston corer temperature tool (APCT-3), Sediment Temperature Tool (SET), or sediment temperature pressure tool (SETP) and reduced to in situ temperature and (for SETP) pressure estimates. These data are compiled per instrument run and assigned to a core (the core cut with the APCT-3 cutting shoe or the core following the SET deployment).
IODP Expedition 320T Discrete analyzer
Dissolved components such as silica, phosphate, ammonium, etc. measured in pore water or rhizon samples using a discrete analyzer spectrophotometer unit.
