One Friday, he signed on to Zoom for the coding round of a multistep interview process and waited for someone to appear. No one did. He reached out to the recruiter and heard nothing back. The next Monday, an email landed in his inbox. The company said it was no longer moving forward with his application, based on his performance in the interview he says never happened.
