Glasgow's newest luxury restaurant and late-night venue is set to open in the city centre this autumn. Brought to us from the team behind Si Ferry's Grosso, Le Set has confirmed plans to take over the former October site in Princes Square later this year. Le Set is a new elevated dining, music and entertainment destination, combining refined small plates, premium cocktails, renowned DJs and "exceptional hospitality" under one roof.

Immigrant 'scared' to return to house after front door set on fire

An immigrant said he is "scared" to go back to his home in North Lanarkshire after his front door was deliberately set on fire. Omar Ben Othmen, 33, was woken by banging at his door, before he realised his home in Kilsyth was on fire on Friday, June 12. Omar, who moved to the town from Tunisia in 2019, was forced to climb out the window of his ground floor flat to escape and suffered leg injuries. He claims a bin had also been set alight and pushed in front of his door to block his exit.
