Arne Hanna Aquatic Center in Bellingham is closed Wednesday and was expected to be closed again Thursday due to an unexpected equipment failure that is critical for maintaining air quality. The failed equipment is part of the facility’s Munters unit, a climate control system that specializes in dehumidification, air handling and cycling out chemicals like chlorine from the air, according to Bellingham Parks and Recreation Director Nicole Oliver.
