As American history buffs—and "Hamilton" musical fans—know well, Alexander Hamilton was the brainchild behind creating a national bank to help stabilize the individual state’s debts. And for the first time in nearly 50 years, his First Bank of the United States opened to the public on July 1. The opening, just ahead of America’s 250th anniversary and steps from where the Declaration of Independence was adopted, follows a $43 million renovation that turned it into a museum.
